It's exactly as bad as we thought
1) Eleanor swaps bodies with Camille. (Camille, you'll recall, is gay.)
2) Eleanor pursues straight encounters, in Camille's body, with men aboard the Destiny - first [Eli], and then [Rush]. The pages don't show the whole of the sex scene with Rush, but they do show the beginning of it - they kiss, and Rush strips Eleanor to her "undergarments."
3) The intimacy that Eleanor "finally" pursues is, indeed, sex - and in the script she says she's never kissed anyone, or ever had sex, or ever drunk alcohol. She has a "list" of firsts that she says she's working through before she has to go back (she says she believes she has about a week on ship.)
4) She appears to walk around in Camille's body without incident - so the observation raised by florahart and others - that motor control is learned, and Eleanor wouldn't know how to move her new body, at least at first - seems to have been hand-waved.
